Sun worship

I met a new acquaintance today named Emma. She was kind enough to share the following link with me. It is "Zeitgiest" related, so for those of you who haven't gotten the chance to view the two hour version: This is a related sample. Enjoy. Sun worship: The origin of all religions.

  1. Hi Nolen.
About 6 months ago I was very caught up in a type of religion/mythology study of my own, and during my many nights of researching, learning, and studying, I found some things that I know you will be interested in. It doesn't prove anything big, but it does make one wonder many things about spiritual beliefs, such as Christianity and it's origin. If you ask a normal civilian of America, "When did Christianity start?", they would say, "Well, when Christ died on the cross for humanity's sins, so we all would have a second chance." God was around since the beginning, they all say. That's how it is with every religion, there is/are God or Gods. So, let's say Jesus was never brought into the equation. This religion would be the same as everyone else's religion: God(s) and then the people. This is where someone got smart back in the day. Let's say this person was a king or ruler of some sort and wanted control that he didn't have. Many things could have happened. This ruler could have hired this man 'Jesus' to claim to be the son of God, and to take complete control over the humans that lived in the ruler's territory. Who would deny the son of God, and Man? Jesus' followers would do anything for him, and this gave the ruler complete control.
We could say that Jesus never existed, and someone created him just for the fun of it, but my mind doesn't agree with that, because I'm always expecting something more out of it. I guess it's whatever you yourself can come up with.
The point is that Christianity started somewhere, and I know that it wasn't with Christ, because there is NO physical evidence of his existence. There are writings by OTHER people who speak of Jesus, but we have to keep in mind that Jesus Christ means 'annointed one'. The people who wrote of this Jesus character could have been talking about a great ruler of some kind, not the 'son of god'.
If one studies mythology, first off they would know that Greek and Egyptian mythology came before the bible, and Christ. First, let me explain the meaning of the word Mythology. (Taken from dictionary.com) Myth: any invented story, idea, or concept.
During my past debates with Christians, I pulled Greek and Egyptian mythology into the conversation. Right as the word 'myth' came out of my mouth, the Christian would say "Myth means fake, and Christ is real." Myth may mean 'fake' to a certain degree, but when there are paralells between mythology and Christianity, when we all know that mythology outdates the bible, you know that something fishy is going on.
You already know from Zeitgiest that Moses from Christianity has many things in common with the old Akkadian king Sargon. They were both placed in a basket at birth and set in a river to avoid infanticide, and they were both raised by royalty and became great leaders. One thing that you should know: Sargon was born before Moses. Maybe a coincidence?
Joseph from the old testament and Jesus have some things in common as well. They both were born a miracle birth. Jesus: born of a virgin. Joseph: Born of a 'barren' mother. Joseph had twelve brothers, Jesus had twelve disciples. Joseph was sold by his brothers for 20 pieces of silver, Jesus sold by Judas for 30 pieces. Judah, Joseph's brother, suggested the sale of Joseph. Judas, Jesus' 'loyal' disciple suggested Jesus' sale. They both were working at the age of 30. Remember: Joseph came before Christ ever did. This also, a coincidence? I beg to differ...
I challenge you to search every kind of mythology from every walk of life and to study it hard. I bet that you WILL find some insane paralells like the ones I just proclaimed. Like I said, this may not prove anything, but it sure as hell gets you wondering about the origin of it all.
I'll search for more videos for you and the ones reading.
    Hope you enjoy.
